Superior Glove is a company with headquarters in Acton, Ontario, Canada that manufactures and distributes work gloves. History
Superior Glove was established in 1910 under the name Acton Glove Company. In 1961 it was acquired and renamed by Frank Geng, the father of Tony and Joe Geng, president and vice-president as of 2015, Frank Geng initially tanned the leather for gloves. After some years, the company started using innovative materials for work gloves, and increased the number of styles from five to more than 3500. The company has its own production laboratory and testing facility, and additional facilities in Point Leamington, Newfoundland and Buffalo, New York with distribution networks in US, UK and Europe.
In May, 2015, Superior Glove received repayable funding of C$500,000 from the Government of Canada through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) Business Development Programfor specialized equipment and technology to improve efficiency and production capacity at its Point Leamington facility.
